Ottawa Police Station West Division Patrol

Project Description

This is a new 42,000 sq.ft division patrol station for the Ottawa Police. It was constructed under a construction management arrangement. Tenders for the mechanical and electrical work closed in February 2009. A site services tender package was released earlier (in Sept 2008) to facilitate site services work and footing construction. Functions contained within the building include Superintendent and administrative functions, community functions, briefing room, Sallyport, holding cells, IT & ISMS rooms, report writing and forensics area. MCW Consultants were instrumental in developing an extremely energy-efficient building. The construction management process required that phased packages of construction documents be assembled to facilitate the construction on site. Project has achieved LEED Silver Certification.
