MCW’s partnership with the City of Windsor extends over 20 years, with the city benefitting from our company’s numerous fields of expertise. MCW has provided everything from Mechanical & Electrical consulting to city-wide energy analysis and Energy Performance Contracting on municipal facilities.
MCW’s work has enabled the City to make educated decisions for prioritizing facility improvement projects ranging from lifecycle renewal to energy efficiency. Naturally, the City continues to choose MCW as their primary energy management partner, a testament to our ability to meet a client’s evolving needs and continuously build a lasting partnership.
Project Highlights:
- ASHRAE Lvl 2 Energy Audits used to implement 5 individual Energy Performance Contracts initiated since 1994.
- Energy retrofits implemented in all municipal facilities including City Hall, Offices, Water Pumping Stations, Airport Facilities, Parks & Rec Facilities, Indoor/Outdoor Pools, Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Public Works, Childcare, Libraries, Police Stations, Fire Stations, and the WFCU Arena.
- The first phase of this partnership - which involved implementing energy retrofits in Parks & Rec facilities - won the Canadian Parks & Recreation Award for Excellence in Innovation.
