The Centre was designed with emphasis on energy conservation and incorporated a full theatre design, green sustainable design, meeting CBIP. The building is designed with free cooling during the shoulder season and City water-cooling to minimize air conditioning loads. The project consisted of an air-to-air heat exchanger, energy efficient lighting throughout to enhance the architectural décor, main entrance utilizes solar energy to aid in heating, indirect high output lighting illuminated the feature wood entry lobby, and integrated data network and teleconferencing system.

The mechanical and electrical systems are comprised of cutting-edge systems, which are environmentally sound. The design significantly reduced operating cost, greatly enhanced the physical comfort of individuals in the training and work environment while promoting good environment practice. The auditorium centre showcases the latest lighting, sound and multimedia equipment including video conferencing. The design of the space provides a venue for multiple uses.
