MCW Consultants Celebrates Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre’s Mental Health Design Award

Earlier this month, the Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre in the Cayman Islands received the Mental Health Design Award at the European Healthcare Design Awards 2025.

MCW Consultants supported the project with a full review of all installed Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems. The facility was commissioned by the Cayman Islands Government and designed by Montgomery Sisam Architects in association with DDL Studio.

The new centre is the first Therapeutic Farm Community in the Cayman Islands. It offers an alternative to traditional hospitals, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals continuing their recovery beyond acute care.

Opened in December 2024, the government-run facility allows residents to access treatment closer to home in a space designed to promote dignity, independence, and long-term well-being.
