Project Description
The Campus Renewal Project included the construction of a new 360-bed student residence, construction of a new academic center that includes offices, classrooms and research space, and an expansion of the food services area.
The project was delivered using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) method. Key highlights of this delivery method included early involvement of the Owner with contractor and subcontractors and architect and sub-consultants, shared risk/reward agreement within the team of contractor, subcontractors, architect and sub-consultants, integrated work processes amongst contractor, subcontractors, architect and sub-consultants, reduced liability amongst risk/reward participants and joint project control between Owner, contractor, subcontractors, architect and sub-consultants.
