Project Description
This project involved a new 2700 m2 addition to the Souch Campus location to primarily house an expanded trades program including welding, boilermakers, iron workers, program and was completed in 2010. MCW Hemisphere provided mechanical consulting for this project.
The project involved designing new welding labs, classrooms, student areas, and support services. The project included booth specific welding exhaust systems in addition to centralized HVAC systems to provide make up air. Plumbing included delivery systems for oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, and argon. Safety features were utilized such as emergency shut off solenoid valves for the gases to prevent either the oxygen or acetylene from enhancing a fire situation. The project was completed in 2010.
