Project Description

KPMG is a world renowned accounting firm which recently moved offices into Enbridge Place (Kelly Ramsey Tower), occupying 2 floors totaling 37,000 square feet. Working closely with the interior designers, MCW Hemisphere incorporated mechanical and electrical designs which took into account the requirement for LEED CI Gold and the related sustainable design requirements.

The KPMG LED lighting design supports a variety of purposes including interior appeal, feature lighting for art and architectural features, worker comfort, and sustainable design. The space has been fixtured exclusively with LED throughout allowing special highlighting of key architectural features, providing low operating costs, and is part of the overall sustainable lighting design utilized as part of obtaining LEED CI Gold for the space.

There is also significant infrastructure for audio visual, data and communication requirements which were identified by the Client. KPMG had very specific requirements as it relates to IT requirements and connectivity with internal/external servers, wireless, and audio/video equipment located in offices, boardrooms, and work spaces.

Mechanically, the design incorporated low flow fixtures and use of VAV HVAC distribution to support the energy and water reductions for operational purposes. The HVAC system is connected to the building management controls to support off hour heating/cooling requirements and work to use natural means of ventilation when appropriate.
