Project Description
6-level parking structure with a total of 1,300 parking spaces. The superstructure for the garage includes: 6-levels of pre-cast concrete, extensive improvements to the existing platform, permanent platform extensions, new elevator and stairwell structure, connection to the pedestrian tunnel including finishing works, platform canopies, and rehabilitation of existing platforms. It was the winner of the 2014 IPI Award of Excellence.
Electrical Systems Description:
Eco-friendly features include high-efficiency LED lighting, daylight sensors, solar panels and a ‘white’ roof, designed to reflect the sun’s energy to reduce the city’s temperature. Cities are known to have higher temperatures than other areas, a phenomenon known as the heat island effect.
