Project Description

MCW Hemisphere assumed the role of Prime Consultant providing mechanical and electrical engineering services for the Gilead QA/QC Laboratory Development. Gilead's manufacturing facility in Edmonton, which handles development and manufacturing of investigational drugs, supplies active pharmaceutical ingredients for clinical research programs and contributes to new product launch supplies.

This project consisted of the design and construction of a new QA/QC laboratory space, infill of existing floor openings on the premises and redevelopment of the vacated QA/QC laboratories. Due to the sensitive nature of this facility MCW Hemisphere had to coordinate the timing of the three phases so as to minimize disruptions of daily operations as well as to ensure the project was completed within the established schedule.
