Project Description
Planned for phased construction, Phase 1 of the Banff Recreation Centre redevelopment included the refurbishment of the existing arena by adding a new ice surface, the demolition of the existing curling centre, and the addition of a new 6-sheet curling rink, meeting rooms, lobby area and support spaces. Phase 2 included plans for a wellness centre, leisure track and pool, change room facilities, community kitchen, and administration spaces. The project is LEED® Silver level certified.
