Project Description

A new centre of community for the city of Brandon, this 50,000 sq. ft. building has been specifically planned to focus on family needs and programs with an emphasis on aquatic facilities, family programming, and fitness programs and equipment.

Aquatic features include a waterslide, leisure pool with water features and a lazy river, on-deck whirlpool, on-deck steam room, and 25 metre lap pool. Fitness features and equipment include a dedicated fitness studio, a full range of the latest fitness and strength equipment, and a full-size gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and other indoor sports. Besides fitness services and programs, the YMCA of Brandon anchors many community and social service programs operated by the Y.

The Dood Cristall Family Centre has achieved LEED Silver certification and completed all requirements for the Manitoba Hydro PowerSMART New Buildings Program – Custom Design Path.
