Domestic Terminal Hold Baggage Screening

Project Description

The expansion building is comprised of the following features:

• On Level 1, a basement structure for in-bound baggage lines 2-5, with mechanical and electrical rooms.
• On Level 2, a fully enclosed steel structure and envelope with overhead doors to accommodate access at apron level for tugs. Garbage pickup and removal was relocated to the east side of Level 2. The structure is built around the HBS design and includes provisions for two bag loops, eight VIS screening machines suspended on two mezzanines, and two CTX screening machines supported at-grade by a reinforced slab adjacent to the existing DTB.
• On Level 3, a 66-foot / 20-metre addition comprising a relocated sterile corridor and movators, enclosed with a curtain wall, extended security office space for the north and south security points, an extended Milestones restaurant, extended retail space, and extended public seating areas (accessible from the retail street). 
• On Level 4, a partial floor plate (accessed from Level 3) for future space (a restaurant, public seating, and offices).
