Domestic Terminal Building Upgrade

Project Description

MCW’s work included:

• Providing sprinklers throughout the renovated areas and locating an infrastructure to facilitate sprinklers throughout the building.
• Upgrading the domestic water and sanitary sewer systems to handle increased loads.
• Replacing the fire alarm system in renovated areas and providing infrastructure to recognize the needs for future renovated areas.
• Providing a new paging system, head-end equipment, and replacing field devices in all renovated areas.
• Removing all redundant ductwork and piping to make room for higher ceilings.
• Removing all redundant conduits and several generations of data and communications cabling.
• Providing a new communications equipment room (CER) infrastructure, including wireway and equipment racks.P
• Providing emergency power to airline substations to keep bridges operating during power failures.
