Project Description

Originally designed as an office building, a revisit to the design included base building upgrades and the complete fit up to accommodate Networc Health, a major tenant who provides acute health care services. Design upgrades were required to meet the significantly more stringent regulations applied to healthcare facilities, including the addition of process steam systems, air handling systems for operating rooms and patient care areas, and incorporation of medical gas systems.

The 60,000 square foot facility houses 6 operating theatres, 150 day procedure beds, Nurse Call Systems following Blue Book requirements and Medical Gas Systems following Blue Book requirements. Accelerated systems were required for this technically challenging facility involving a more detailed approach to electrical systems design, including providing transformers to make power more accessible to a multitude of devices and specialized fire alarm systems.
