Project Description
Headquartered on a 22 acre campus in Ontario and fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Baycrest combines a comprehensive system of care for aging patients, one of the world’s top research institutes in cognitive neuroscience, dedicated centres focused on mitigating the impact of age-related illness and impairment, and unmatched global knowledge exchange and commercialization capacity.
In 2015, MCW Consultants was retained by Baycrest for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services. Project scopes range from minor review work to acting as the prime consultant on major capital projects, related to the deployment of Baycrest's Hospital Infrastructure Renewal Fund's (HIRF). New para projects included, heating improvements to multiple existing hospital entrances and complete redesign and expansion of the new Kimel Entrance, new air handling units, compressed air plant upgrade, domestic hot water heat exchanger upgrades and a new fire protection pump. MCW is also developing energy savings related projects including a study for a possible combined heat and power (CHP) installation.
