Project Description

The new distribution warehouse for the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission, slated for completion August 2017, is intended to serve as the provinces main distribution centre for spirits, wine and imported beer. The complex encompassing a 38,000 m2 warehouse, four storey office building and 1,900 m2 additional space for maintenance warehouse offices will help the AGLC meets the needs of the growing industry. The facility will see tremendous activity with respect to inventory and product movement, largely involving ground transportation.

MCW Hemisphere Ltd. is responsible for the mechanical and electrical design and is currently in the contract administration phase for the project. The facility features high efficiency HVAC, plumbing and lighting systems designed to reduce long term operating costs. In addition, high tech security and a state of the art, automated inventory control systems have been included as part of the overall plan.
