Job Description:

Description Tenant Coordinator for a multi-year energy management project in British Columbia. A major component of this project will be effective coordination and communication of construction activities within occupied residential buildings. The Tenant Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of day-to-day construction activities between our sub-contractors and our clients’ tenants. As effective coordination and communication is the cornerstone to a successful project, MCW is looking for talented and capable applicants that will succeed in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities The Tenant Coordinator will be working with clients in the social housing sector and will be responsible for: • The effective coordination of all construction activities for the assigned projects • Initial communication of the planned construction activities to our clients’ tenants • Ensuring tenants’ comfort and safety are maintained at all times throughout the project • Working with the Manager, Tenant Engagement and Communications • Day to day coordination of sub-contractors with our clients’ tenants • Working directly with the Tenants to reduce and minimize disruptions from construction activities
Qualifications, Experience and Education Experience in Construction, Property Management, or Social Housing Management. Particular emphasis will be placed on proponents with experience in mental health or social housing support work. • This position will be suited for an individual with experience in Property Management or Social Housing Management and experience in coordinating construction activities in occupied facilities. Ideally the candidate will have training or experience in management of social housing. • 3+ years of relevant industry experience • Understanding of construction practices • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, etc. • Experience working with clients and client base • Experience working in a team-based environment
Required Skills • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal • Understanding that will work will occur in occupied facilities and the impact that will have on the Clients’ tenants • Ability to communicate and work well with other team members and Client • Ability to engage and support our clients’ tenants throughout construction activities • Excellent time management and coordination skills • Team and customer service-focused • Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible • Chinese/Mandarin language skills an asset
