Through our AGE Power Consultants division we specialize in providing transmission and distribution substation and line design together with Project Management services for the utility, industrial, commercial and institutional market places.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Line Designer in our Trail B.C or Kelowna B.C. office.  

Responsibilities

The objective of the position is the design of distribution lines. Responsibilities include completing plan and profile drawings, conductor sagging drawings, and structure and assembly designs. The successful candidate is also responsible for completion of material and equipment lists.  All designs must meet electrical code specifications, utility and company standards and be consistent with good engineering and construction practices.

Qualifications, Experience and Education

• Experience in the distribution utility industry an asset
• Experience in the design of distribution lines
• Undergraduate electrical engineering degree or diploma in Electrical Technology
• Eligibility for membership in APEGBC or ASTTBC
• Demonstrated experience in:
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office tools  
  • PLS-CADD an asset
