Job Description:

The MCW Group of Companies has built a solid reputation for the delivery of Professional Consulting Engineering Services, Energy Management Services, and Engineering Development Services. Through our AGE Power Consultants division we specialize in providing transmission and distribution substation and line design together with Project Management services for the utility, industrial, commercial and institutional market places.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical CAD Designer in our Trail B.C or Kelowna B.C. office.

 

Responsibilities

The Electrical CAD Designer will:

-          Participate in the creation and layout of engineering drawings

-          Assist in engineering analysis

-          Help in the preparation of reports and exhibits

-          Assist with detailed calculations and finalization of specifications

 

Qualifications, Experience and Education

  • Experience as a CAD Designer  
  • Experience working in an engineering services environment
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • AutoCAD
    • Visio
    • Excel and MS Word
    • Other 3D software

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
  • Established track record of delivering complex designs into production
  • Ability to communicate and work well with other departments
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented

  • Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible.
