Job Description:
JOB LOCATION: IQALUIT, NUNAVUT
The Government of Nunavut (GN) Community & Government Services has recently initiated a comprehensive energy retrofit initiative of the major GN facilities, in partnership with MCW Custom Energy Solutions Ltd., a division of The MCW Group of Companies. The Nunavut Energy Management Program (NEMP), a multi-year energy management project, is currently looking for a team focused and resourceful individual to perform the duties of a Sustainable Practices Leader in Iqaluit, Nunavut. In this position you will be providing leadership to GN staff and assurance for MCW to ensure the success of NEMP. Responsibilities will include preparing and delivering training seminars to GN staff in conjunction with MCW, the close monitoring of energy consumption and savings and the preparation of Program Assurance Reports in respect to that data.
We require the individual to have an Engineering or technical designation, and ideally 10+ years of relevant industry experience. An understanding of construction practices, as well as a familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint is necessary. Top quality customer service skills and a working knowledge of industry standards and practices are also required. This is a contract position.
